FFP is back!

Hey team!

It's been awhile since the last FFP newsletter...... things got a little crazy for us all and there were some major adjustments in life, work and training, all thrown into one.

FFP had to take our sessions online and I needed to become IT savvy in 24hrs.... this wasn't easy! But I got there and we managed to 'run' all sessions online for nearly 5 weeks.

Since then we have adapted quickly to all the new changes (some overnight!) and have got use to the new 'normal' at training. I know it was cold, dark and wet sometimes but not once did anyone complain. So a massive thank you to everyone for your patience throughout this challenging time,

When we finally went back face to face bootcamp, I was super excited to see you all again. As much as training online worked, there is nothing better than training all together, plus I desperately missed all the laughter and bantering.

Ralphie found the 'lockdown' time really hard and went into a bit of a doggie depression, he missed greeting you all every day and especially missed being the centre of attention.

From the 1st face to face session we had, Ralphie became himself once again in a matter of minutes! It was incredible to see how the impact we all have on each other and how much we are creatures of habits.... even pets!

Bootcamp is now all back to normal and I am loving it! I am very happy with how everyone is committed to their training and getting rid of some 'lockdown' habits.

4 Week Transformation Challenge done and dusted!

We held our first post Covid 4 week Transformation Challenge at the beginning of July and we have had some great results. It was hard to get going for some of you at the beginning..... but you made it!

The fitness test was a great indiction of how much you all improved in a short period of time. Coming out of lockdown and being thrown into a fitness test...was a bit tough, I know! But it was worth it as your final test results showed massive improvements. So well done everyone.

The runners up from this challenge are the following:-

Craig W , Sally B, Andrew O and Eileen O. These guys trained hard, stayed focused and it all paid off with some great goals achieved.

Our winner for this Transformation Challenge is someone whom I am super proud of. She was determined from day 1. She changed her diet, gave it everything she had at every bootcamp session and stuck to her goals.

So it is with great pleasure that I announce Vicky B from our 9.30am sessions as the latest FFP winner.

In 4 weeks Vicki lost over 3 kgs, nearly 2% body fat and lost 6cms overall. This is a fabulous achievement Vicki, well done! An FFP goodie bag is coming your way.

If you missed out on this challenge...... don't worry as our next one will be in mid August.

This one will get you ready for Spring, get you feeling amazing and it's a great way to kick start a Spring/Summer better YOU!

Watch this space for the details and specials coming up. You have to be in it to win it!

Housekeeping

As always, it is imperative that everyone participating at bootcamp MUST sanitise their hands upon entering and if you are unwell, please stay home and return only when you are 100% feeling better. This keeps everyone at bootcamp safe and healthy.

Dry July- It's that time of year again!

For those of you that are participating in the Dry July Challenge, keep going!! Some may be doing a bit of a 'dryish July', it doesn't matter which you do, just stick at it & hopefully soon you start to feel better, sleep better, make better food choices & maybe save money!

Late July bootcamp session timing changes

As most of you know, my wedding was cancelled 3 days beforehand, due to Covid-19. It was a crazy and very stressful time trying to deal with all of that, plus keep a business afloat etc. No wedding meant no week away either.

Good news is that our wedding has now rescheduled for Feb 2021.... fingers crossed we get there!

Anyway, I've decided to take a week off at the end of July (29th - 4th August) head North where it's nice and warm and have a bit of R&R.

So there will be some changes to sessions to make up for some of the time I'm away.

The sessions for the week of 27th July & 3rd August will be as follows:-

Mon 6am, 9.30am and 6pm (27/7/20)

Tues 6am, 9am AND A 6pm !! (28/7/20)

Weds - closed (29/7/20)

Thurs - closed (30/7/20)

Fri - closed (31/7/20)

Mon - closed (3/8/20)

Tues - closed in the morning BUT there will be a 6pm that night, SO DON"T MISS IT!

Weds - back to normal

If you want to make up for some of those sessions, please feel free to do so in the coming weeks. 9.30am sessions can also come along to any Yummy Mummy bootcamp.

For those that can't make up the morning sessions, a week will be added to you membership.

If you have any queries regarding the above, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Zoom SessionS

As of the 29th July, 2020 there will be no more Zoom sessions for any classes. I just prefer to train you in person and believe I can not give you my 110% attention (that you deserve) when I am also trying to do a face to face session.

For those that are zooming, we look forward to having you back at bootcamp soon!

Snack attack!

Need a quick snack for those days you are in a rush? Here is a recipe that is prefect for dinner, a snack or family picnic.

Zucchini Slice

  • 5 eggs

  • 150g (1 cup) self-raising flour, sifted

  • 375g zucchini, grated

  • 1 large onion, finely chopped

  • 200g rindless bacon, chopped

  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

  • 60ml (1/4 cup) vegetable oil or 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil.

METHOD

  • Preheat oven to 170°C. Grease and line a 30 x 20cm lamington pan.

  • Beat the eggs in a large bowl until combined. Add the flour and beat until smooth, then add zucchini, onion, bacon, cheese and oil and stir to combine. Pour into the prepared pan and bake in oven for 30 minutes or until cooked through.

Well that's it from me this week. Keep up the great work everyone and stay focused because Summer is only around the corner !...... sort of!

See you all at training.

Ingrid and Ralphie
